The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, thanks to its members’ research work, holds a prominent position within the national and international scientific community with which it collaborates in many different ways. In fact, members of the Department belong or have belonged to the organizing committees of some of the major national and international scientific associations, as well as to the editorial committees of countless national and international scientific journals.
The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures takes part in the activities of the CLIL@India Project, a 3-year Capacity Building project co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme. The project involves a consortium of 7 Universities from India and Europe ( Manipal University, Symbiosis University, Chitkara University, Pondicherry University, University of Milan, Universitad de Castilla La Mancha and Latvjias Universitate) and aims to introduce Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) as an innovative pedagogical practice in the Indian education system to preserve the nation’s multilingualism and bring about a balance between English and the regional languages.
